Province Weekend 2012
Welcome all Brothers of Province 39 to IUP for Province Workshop!
While there are certainly a lot of exciting events planned, there may also be some things that are unclear or unsure to those who are coming to IUP for the first time, or simply do not remember the last time they were here.
Where am I going to park my car?
IUP has several places to park around campus, and all of them are free to park in from 5PM FRIDAY through the weekend to Monday at 7AM. However, a lot of these spots are regulated so that you cannot park in them overnight. Parking in the parking garage next to Cogswell is free and legal overnight the entire weekend, as long as you are in a yellow space on the third floor. No reserved spaces or anything above the 3rd floor is allowed.
For your convenience, IUP has a campus map of all the parking available: http://www.iup.edu/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=id&ItemID=13759 http://www.iup.edu/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=id&ItemID=58751
What if I get hungry? Where can I score some mad grublies?
If you are coming into town, especially after a long drive, before you get registered you may want to grab some yummy food-type items before coming over to Cogswell. For your convenience there is a map of all the local food items available. Indiana generally has a good selection, from fast food to sit-down type restaurants. http://g.co/maps/urt9m

Our personal recommendations are Romeo’s, Taco Bell, Arby’s, and McDonalds. They all offer good food, and are geographically very close to where we will be conducting business.
Now this is all well and good, but where IS business being conducted?
Ah yes, this point was somewhat overlooked. If you take note of the campus map listed above in the parking section, you will note the location of Cogswell Hall. This is where the majority of business is being conducted.
The address of Cogswell Hall (for those with Global-Positiony-Look-At-Devices) is 422 S. 11th Street Indiana, PA 15705. We will be meeting primarily in ROOM 121. This is also known as the DiCicco Rehearsal Room, or more commonly, the band room. If you ask anyone floating around Cogswell, they will be able to point the way. We should also have signs up pointing the way for incoming brothers.
The other places we will be are:
SUTTON HALL for the first night’s social event, in the upstairs recital hall, GORELL RECITAL HALL.
The HADLEY UNION BUILDING, MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE HUB. We will be in the SUSQUEHANNA ROOM for the banquet Saturday night.
THE CONEY located at 642 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA. This is where the social event will occur following the banquet Saturday night.
Where am I going to lay my head when I am oh, so weary?
Housing will primarily consist of floors and/or couches let out by brothers of the chapter. Housing has already been billeted to registrants of the event, and when you check in-or if you are going to register late-on Friday, your housing arrangements will be given to you. Hotels are also available in the area if you feel the need for something a little more cozy.
Hey now, you’ve answered most of my questions, but what if there is something here you forgot and I need to know?
If there are any questions that are still needing to be answered, feel free to contact any of the brothers of Zeta Tau through email, Facebook, text message or by leaving a comment on this post.
